How it works
The Panfan operates by venting air directly from inside the toilet bowl through the overflow pipe, and ultimately expelling this air outside or purifying it using a filter in our specially designed filtered models.
The vented range
The Panfan system works with both in wall and back to wall toilets within New Zealand. With the fan located in the ceiling space and vent pipe (typically 40mm waste pipe) running to the soffit. The vent pipe utilizes either an existing water inlet hole, or a new hole can be cut in.

The filtered range
Our filtered models utilize the same great technology and methods to draw the air up the overflow pipe, but instead of venting outside they run through a specifically designed filter before the air returns to the room. As you can see on the agar plates below the Panfan filter collects 99% of airborne micro organisms keeping the bathroom smelling fresh and clean.
Scientifically Proven
The Agar plates demonstrates the presence of micro-organisms found in a toilet room after use with and without a Panfan installed.
The study was done by the Dublin University where Panfan has been proven to remove 99.9% of all airborne micro-organisms. So not only is the air odour free its free from related air borne micro-organisms as well.
